Friday flying is a low-support day.  Come help us set up for the main event days, and we can launch at a leasure pace.  Everyone is welcome to join us, but it will be low-key compared to Sat/Sun. 

10/2 Update

Setup will start at 12 pm on Oct. 23rd, and this usually takes us less than an hour, less with more people helping.  If you're flying Friday, we would love to get you involved so we can all get some rockets up in the afternoon (weather permitting).  Ty and Roy have a rhythm to the setup, but if you ask, they can point you to what needs to be done. 

Dinner Friday night will be at Bob's Bar in Martinsburg, NE.  This is a CASH ONLY bar (I think they have an ATM, maybe?).  

Saturday night dinner is tentatively planned for Pearl Street Steakhouse in Wayne NE.  

This year, launch procedures will change compared to prior years.  We have always prided ourselves on a more "relaxed" atmosphere, being a smaller launch.  But that relaxed approach resulted in more stress for the core group running the launch.  

• LCO/RSO areas have become overrun with fliers and spectators.  So we'll barricade this area more than you have seen in the past. 

• NAR/Tripoli membership will be verified before ANYONE is allowed past the flight line.  We have used the honor system before, but physical verification will be required before entry.  We will have some sort of identifier (i.e., wristband), and if you cannot present it, you will not be allowed on the range.  If you are not a current member, you will not fly.  Each person must review and sign the THOR high-power safety rules, which include the Tropli Unified Safety rules.   CLICK HERE FOR A COPY OF THE RULES
